Zahara L. Kaufman, MSW is a trauma-informed holistic psychotherapist devoted to improving the lives of women, men, youth, and children. With a career spanning over 15 years across the United States and Ethiopia, she provides psychotherapy, transformative trainings, and healing retreats.

Born in Addis Ababa and raised in the United States, Zahara returned to Ethiopia in 2006 because she felt her skills were needed in her homeland. Zahara specializes in trauma-informed therapy and is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Her practice integrates somatic and polyvagal-informed approaches, helping clients reconnect with their bodies and regulate their nervous systems for deeper, lasting healing.
