Zahara Legesse Kauffman is a psychotherapist devoted to improving the lives of women, men, youth, and children. With a career spanning over 15 years across the United States and Ethiopia, she provides psychotherapy, transformative trainings, and healing retreats.
Born in Addis Ababa and raised in the United States, Zahara returned to Ethiopia in 2006 because she felt her skills were needed in her homeland. After a decade of training thousands of experts and working with families in hospitals, schools, courts, and police stations, she launched Ask Zahara to reach an even wider audience through media and education.
Zahara has worked with the World Bank, American Embassy, United Nations, Plan International, Mercy Corps, the Ethiopian Ministry of Health, Federal Supreme Court, and many more.
